Town Beat Officers conducted a proactive high-visibility patrol in Gravesend Town Centre, focusing on tackling anti-social behaviour, disruption, and criminality. β
Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) Enforcement We actively enforced the local PSPO, which is a legal tool used by the council to address behaviours that negatively impact the community. In Gravesend, this includes restrictions on street drinking within designated areas. Officers engaged with individuals found in possession of alcohol and required them to surrender it, ensuring compliance with the PSPO and maintaining a safe, family-friendly town environment. π Vehicle Stop β No Insurance / No Tax A vehicle was stopped during patrol checks which was identified as having no valid insurance. Further checks revealed the vehicle had also been untaxed since March 2025. The vehicle was subsequently seized, removing an unlawful and uninsured vehicle from the road and reducing risk to the public. πΆββοΈ High Visibility Patrols Officers remained on foot patrol throughout the town centre, providing reassurance to the public, deterring crime, and engaging with local businesses and visitors. π¬ Illicit Tobacco Enforcement Further visits were conducted to vape and tobacco retailers as part of ongoing work targeting illicit tobacco supply.
